This is another in Electronic Arts annual cricket franchise which first started with Cricket 96 however this was the first game developed by HB Studios. All ten international teams are represented together with twenty-two international stadia allowing the player to play one day games and test matches. As the player progresses through the game there are unlockable tournaments and historic teams to extend the gameplay. Other features include detailed controls that, for example, allow the player, as bowler, to spin, seam or change the pace of the ball. The game has commentary from Richie Benaud.
